Developed by the USDA-ARA Breeding program in 1956 and released in 1976, it is an aroma type cultivar. It was developed by open pollination of a Fuggle variety seedling. Cascade is known for its spicy, floral and citrus notes with a balanced bitter characteristic. On our farm Cascade presents with the classic rose floral and citrus notes with a slight back note of hemp.
