Classification: Bittering Hop
Bred in 1980 at the Research Center in Hull and released in 1993 it is a German variety that is also grown in North America. Magnum is the daughter of Galena and is primarily used for bittering. It is well used as a clean bittering hop and has found use as the bittering agent in many modern North American sour beers.
